Robert John Odenkirk is an American actor, comedian, writer, director, and producer born on October 22, 1962, in Berwyn, Illinois. He began his career as a comedy writer for Saturday Night Live and co-created Mr. Show with Bob and David (1995-1998) alongside David Cross.

Odenkirk gained mainstream dramatic recognition as criminal lawyer Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad (2008-2013). The character spawned the prequel series Better Call Saul (2015-2022), in which Odenkirk delivered a tour-de-force lead performance tracing Jimmy McGill's transformation into Saul Goodman, earning multiple Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Odenkirk also surprised audiences with his starring role in the action film Nobody (2021). In July 2021, he suffered a heart attack on the set of Better Call Saul but made a full recovery and returned to complete the series.
