Brett Gelman is an American actor, comedian, and writer born on October 6, 1976, in Highland Park, Illinois. He studied at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and built a career in comedy through improv, stand-up, and television roles including Married and Stranger Things.

Gelman is recognized for his role as Martin in the BBC/Amazon series Fleabag (2016-2019), playing the protagonist's stepmother's unsettling and inappropriate partner.
