Margaret Constance "Maisie" Williams is an English actress born on April 15, 1997, in Bristol, England. She had no professional acting experience before auditioning for Game of Thrones at the age of twelve, landing the role that would make her an international star.
Williams rose to fame as Arya Stark in HBO's Game of Thrones (2011-2019), appearing in the show from age 14 to 22. Her portrayal of the fierce, resourceful youngest Stark daughter who trains to become a deadly assassin earned her an Emmy nomination and made her one of the most popular characters on the show.
Beyond Game of Thrones, Williams has appeared in films such as The Falling (2014), and the X-Men film The New Mutants (2020). She also starred in the Sky comedy series Two Weeks to Live (2020) and the Danny Boyle-directed TV series Pistol (2022), playing punk icon Jordan.
