Michael John McKean is an American actor, comedian, writer, and musician born on October 17, 1947, in New York City. He studied at Carnegie Mellon University and rose to fame as Lenny Kosnowski in the sitcom Laverne & Shirley (1976-1983) and as David St. Hubbins in the mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap (1984).

McKean delivered a career-defining dramatic performance as Chuck McGill in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018). His portrayal of Jimmy McGill's brilliant but deeply troubled older brother, an accomplished lawyer suffering from electromagnetic hypersensitivity, earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination and widespread critical praise.
