Sarah Snook is an Australian actress born on December 1, 1987, in Adelaide, South Australia. She graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney in 2008 and quickly established herself in Australian film and television before breaking into Hollywood.
Snook achieved international stardom as Siobhan "Shiv" Roy, the politically ambitious youngest Roy sibling, in the HBO drama Succession (2018-2023). Her razor-sharp performance earned her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the final season in 2023, along with multiple prior nominations and a Golden Globe Award.
Beyond Succession, Snook is known for her starring role in the science fiction thriller Predestination (2014), which showcased her extraordinary range. She has also appeared in Steve Jobs (2015), The Glass Castle (2017), and the television miniseries The Secret River (2015).
