Character Arc
Zazi is the central figure of Blood Psalms, a teenage princess of the Daughters of the Sun whose birth was tied to an ancient prophecy. She is willful, curious, and resistant to the rigid expectations placed on her, chafing against elders who treat her either as a sacred vessel or as a threat to be controlled. From the start she carries the unbearable knowledge that she may be the one destined to bring about the end of her world.
When catastrophe strikes and her father is killed, Zazi is forced to grow up quickly.
