Character Arc
Varuna Dasgupta is a poised, sharp-minded member of the Thane circle, a former corporate finance executive who has stepped back from that world. Her professional background gives her an analytical eye that proves unexpectedly useful as the women's home enterprise grows more complicated, and she becomes one of the group's most clear-headed planners.
Jyothika brings a cool composure to Varuna, playing a woman accustomed to spreadsheets and boardrooms now applying that discipline to a very different kind of operation. As the double life intensifies, Varuna must reconcile her own marriage and household with the secrets she is keeping, and the role draws much of its tension from the gap between her polished exterior and the pressure building underneath.
