Character Arc
Marcin Kania is the protagonist of Feedback, a former rock musician whose career and family life were undermined by years of heavy drinking. Presented as a recovering alcoholic at the start of the series, he is shown trying to hold a fragile stability together when his adult son vanishes, an event that pulls him out of his careful routine and back toward the people and places he had been avoiding.
Much of Marcin's arc unfolds through memory rather than straightforward action. The series uses his recollections to gradually complicate the version of events he believes to be true, exposing the gap between how he remembers his past and how others experienced it. As the search for his son continues, Marcin is repeatedly confronted with evidence of harm he caused and chances he missed, making denial harder to sustain.
Rather than delivering a tidy redemption, the character is written around accountability and the difficulty of genuinely seeing oneself. Marcin's journey is less about solving a mystery than about whether he can accept responsibility for the man he has been, and the performance is built on that tension between self-justification and painful clarity.
