Character Arc
Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, starts the series as a quirkless underdog who fills notebooks with hero analysis while enduring bullying for his lack of power. His relentless kindness and willingness to throw himself into danger catch the eye of All Might, who passes on the One For All Quirk. Suddenly Izuku has a power he can barely control, one that shatters his own bones whenever he pushes too hard.
Through U.A. High and a string of brutal trials, Izuku grows from a stammering fanboy into a tactician who fights with his head as much as his fists. He gradually masters One For All, unlocking the residual Quirks of past users and learning to channel a power that once threatened to break him. His bond with classmates and his tangled rivalry with Bakugo push him to define the kind of hero he wants to be.
By the later seasons, Izuku carries the weight of the world's hope, standing at the center of the final war against All For One. He embodies the series' core idea that anyone can be a hero if they choose to act. His journey from powerless dreamer to symbol of the future is the emotional spine of the entire story.
