Character Arc

Liz Parker begins the series as a studious, level-headed waitress at her family's Crashdown Cafe, more interested in science fairs than secrets. Everything changes the day she is shot and miraculously healed by Max Evans, an event that turns her careful, planned-out life upside down and binds her forever to a world she never knew existed.

Torn between her loyalty to her human family and her deepening love for Max, Liz becomes the emotional center of the group, often the only one clear-headed enough to think their way out of danger. Her romance with Max is the heart of the show, full of longing and sacrifice, and she repeatedly puts her own future on the line to protect the aliens she has come to call family.

By the final season Liz has grown from a cautious teenager into a fierce, decisive young woman who embraces the strange path her life has taken. She even develops powers of her own after Max heals her, and she ultimately chooses love and the open road over the safe future she once mapped out, leaving Roswell behind to start a new life on her own terms.
