Character Arc
Louis James Moriarty is William's younger brother and his most devoted ally, bound to him by a debt of love that predates the family's rise. Rescued from poverty and given a future alongside William, Louis dedicates himself wholly to his brother's vision, managing the household and supporting the operations of the Lord of Crime with quiet, ferocious loyalty. Despite a delicate constitution stemming from a childhood injury, his commitment never wavers.
Beneath his composed and courteous manner lies a fierce protectiveness that occasionally hardens into something darker. Louis reveres William so deeply that he is willing to do anything to safeguard him and the cause, and that single-minded devotion sometimes blinds him to the toll the crusade takes on his brother's soul. His loyalty is both his greatest strength and a quiet source of tension.
Over the course of the series Louis matures from a supporting presence into a figure who must confront the possibility of a future without William. As his brother's plan races toward its sacrificial conclusion, Louis is forced to weigh blind obedience against the desperate wish to keep the one person he loves most alive, giving the finale much of its emotional weight.
