Character Arc
Megumi is a serious, level-headed first-year at Tokyo Jujutsu High who carries himself with a calm that borders on cold. As a member of the Zenin lineage and a wielder of the Ten Shadows technique, he summons shikigami spirits to fight, commanding everything from nimble divine dogs to far more fearsome forms. Beneath his guarded exterior lies a sharp mind and a deeply rooted sense of duty.
Though he initially keeps his distance, Megumi grows into a steadfast partner for Yuji and Nobara, balancing their impulsiveness with strategy and quiet resolve. He fights not for glory but according to his own private code, choosing to save the people he deems worth saving rather than chasing some grand ideal. That selective compassion makes him one of the show's most quietly compelling figures.
Across the first two seasons, Megumi steadily pushes the limits of his inherited technique and his own willpower, often putting himself in harm's way to shield his classmates. His loyalty to Yuji and his determination to protect those close to him drive some of the series's most tense moments. The more he is tested, the more his hidden depths and untapped potential come into focus.
