Character Arc
Na Ah-jeong is the heart of Wedding Impossible, a warm, scrappy actress in her late twenties who has spent years scraping by on bit parts and guest roles without landing a real breakthrough. Resourceful and quick to laugh, she values her long friendship with Lee Do-han above almost anything, which is exactly why she agrees to his startling request to become his contract wife for three years.
Over the course of the series, Ah-jeong is pulled between the comfort of her old friendship and the confusion of new feelings. The fake-marriage plan forces her into the orbit of Do-han's controlling family and his prickly younger brother, Lee Ji-han, and she must navigate suspicion, social-climbing expectations, and her own pride while keeping Do-han's secret. Her honesty and refusal to be looked down on repeatedly cut through the family's pretensions.
Ah-jeong's arc is ultimately one of self-worth and unexpected love. As the scheme unravels, she stops measuring herself by her stalled career or others' wealth and learns to choose what she genuinely wants. Her growing bond with Ji-han becomes the emotional center of the finale, resolving the show's central romance on a hopeful note.
