Character Arc
Oh In-joo is the eldest of the three sisters and the emotional anchor of Little Women. Having grown up in poverty, she has spent years working as an accountant and quietly absorbing the family's financial burdens, convinced that money is the only thing that can keep her sisters safe. Her practical, self-sacrificing nature makes her both deeply sympathetic and vulnerable to temptation when an enormous sum of money suddenly comes within her reach.
When a colleague's death leaves In-joo holding a fortune tied to the powerful Park family, she is pulled into a dangerous game far beyond her experience. Her decision to keep the money, rather than walk away, sets the central plot in motion and forces her to navigate threats, manipulation, and shifting alliances. Throughout the series she wrestles with guilt and fear while trying to shield her younger sisters from the consequences of her choices.
In-joo's arc is ultimately about a woman learning to value her own life and judgment as much as her sisters' safety. Her resourcefulness, loyalty, and gradual hardening in the face of ruthless opponents drive much of the drama's tension, and her bond with her sisters remains the moral center against which the story's darker forces are measured.
