Character Arc
Pu Yi-Yong begins the series as an ordinary, somewhat directionless Taiwanese high-school student whose life is thrown into chaos after a serious road accident leaves him comatose. When he wakes, he finds he can perceive the lingering presences and unfinished attachments of the dead, an unsettling gift that he gradually learns to treat as a responsibility rather than a curse.
Rather than retreat in fear, Yi-Yong channels his curiosity and stubborn good nature into helping the restless spirits he encounters resolve what they left undone. His impulsive, improvisational instincts repeatedly put him at odds with the more methodical people around him, but they also make him uniquely suited to the strange, emotionally tangled cases that come his way.
Over the course of the twelve episodes, his partnership with rookie policewoman Chen Chu-Ying and his prickly rapport with classmate Cao Guang-Yan push him to grow from a self-absorbed teenager into someone capable of genuine empathy. Each case he solves becomes a lesson in listening, letting go, and recognizing the quiet regrets people carry, anchoring the show's warm coming-of-age core.
