Character Arc
Eddie Wells is part of the Wells family at the centre of Passenger's tightly woven Chadder Vale community. Connected to Katie, whose disappearance drives the story, Eddie is caught up in the fear, suspicion and grief that grip the town as ordinary life is disrupted by events no one can readily explain. His presence helps ground the mystery in the texture of family and small-town relationships.
As the investigation unfolds, Eddie navigates the strain that the disappearance and the surrounding strangeness place on those closest to it. The series uses characters like him to show how a close-knit place responds to crisis, where loyalty, secrecy and worry all collide, and where every household carries its own version of the truth that Riya Ajunwa is trying to piece together.
