Character Arc
Biki is a former football star turned coach who scouts the streets of Kibera for raw talent, hoping to channel young players away from crime and toward a future in the sport. His belief in Junior is one of the central relationships of Pepeta, and his efforts to protect and develop the boy bring him into conflict with the forces that profit from keeping the neighborhood's youth on the wrong path.
The role marked a deliberate shift for the actor, who had often been cast as a gangster in earlier work and here plays a man trying to do good in his community. Biki carries the weight of his own faded playing days, and his coaching is as much about redemption and second chances as it is about wins on the pitch. His mentorship is tested by setbacks, rivalries and the limits of what one coach can do against systemic pressures.
Across the season Biki must decide how far he is willing to go to shield his players, and the character embodies the show's hope that talent and guidance might outrun circumstance. His arc is closely tied to Junior's, and the bond between coach and player gives Pepeta much of its emotional grounding.
