Character Arc
Michal Holender is a detective in the Lodz department handling homicides and serious crime, and he serves as the series' primary link between the official investigation and the amateur world of Ultraviolet. Professional and guarded, he initially regards the online sleuths as meddlers, only to find that their crowdsourced findings repeatedly outpace his own department's resources.
Holender's arc is built on a grudging, evolving alliance with Ola Serafin. He is caught between procedure and results, often bending rules to act on tips the amateurs surface while shielding them from colleagues who would rather shut the group down.
