About Adela
Adela is a Romanian prime-time drama series that aired on Antena 1, produced by Ruxandra Ion through Dream Film Production. It follows two young women, Adela and Andreea, who grew up sharing everything as sisters until a long-buried family secret comes to light: one of them is in truth the daughter of a wealthy media magnate, and her destiny was always meant to be a very different one. The revelation upends both of their lives and sets the heart of the story in motion.
At its core the show is a tender love story tested by class, ambition, and the weight of the past. As Adela steps into a world of privilege she never knew, she draws closer to Mihai, a principled lawyer who rose from a hard childhood and who believes in honesty above appearances. Their romance becomes the warm center of the series, even as old loyalties, jealousy, and the temptation to claim a stolen life threaten to pull the family apart.
Adapted from the Turkish series Bahar, the Romanian version became a fixture of Antena 1's evening lineup over four seasons and 158 episodes, building a loyal audience that followed every reconciliation and setback. Praised for its emotional storytelling and its focus on family, forgiveness, and second chances, the series ran from January 2021 to December 2022 and remains available to stream on AntenaPLAY.
