About F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers
F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers is the GMMTV adaptation of the long-running Boys Over Flowers franchise, which began as the Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango and spawned hit dramas across Asia including the Taiwanese Meteor Garden. The Thai version transplants the familiar premise to the fictional, ultra-exclusive Kanya Wittaya College, where the children of the country's wealthiest families study and where social standing is everything. At the top of the food chain sits F4, a clique of four impossibly rich and handsome boys whose approval, or disapproval, can make or break any student.
Into this world arrives Gorya, a scholarship student from an ordinary working-class family who wants nothing more than to keep her head down and graduate. Her plans collapse when she stands up to the F4 leader, Thyme, on behalf of a bullied classmate. Marked with the group's infamous red card, Gorya becomes the target of relentless harassment, but her refusal to back down intrigues Thyme and slowly transforms his cruelty into fascination, then into something closer to love.
As Thyme falls for the one girl who treats him as an equal, Gorya finds herself caught between his volatile affection and the quiet steadiness of his best friend Ren, whose own heart belongs elsewhere. Across sixteen episodes the series balances glossy romance, comedy, and pointed commentary on class and privilege, while the bonds between the four F4 members are tested by family pressure, jealousy, and the cost of growing up rich.
