About HPI

Morgane Alvaro is a chaotic single mother of three scraping by as a cleaner at the Lille police station. She is perpetually late, broke, and allergic to authority, but she also happens to have a genius-level IQ and a photographic eye that catches the tiny details everyone else misses. When she accidentally cracks a case while mopping the floor, the police have no choice but to bring her on as a consultant.

Paired with Adam Karadec, a buttoned-up by-the-book detective who likes his rules followed and his desk tidy, Morgane is a walking professional nightmare and an investigative gift in equal measure. Their odd-couple dynamic powers the show: she barges past procedure on instinct and color-coded intuition, he tries to keep her, and the case, from going off the rails.

Warm, fast, and very funny, HPI became France's biggest recent ratings phenomenon by wrapping its crime-of-the-week format in family chaos, workplace banter, and a slow-burn will-they-wont-they. Underneath the comedy runs a real heart, as Morgane juggles motherhood, a buried past, and the suspicion that being the smartest person in the room is also deeply lonely.
