Salon de Holmes

Salon de Holmes (살롱 드 홈즈) is a 2025 South Korean mystery-comedy drama that aired on ENA from June 16 to July 15, 2025, and streamed on Genie TV every Monday and Tuesday. Set in the aging Gwangseon Jugong apartment complex, the series follows four overlooked housewives who band together to investigate the small crimes, scams, and injustices their neighbors are too busy or too dismissive to notice. Playing on the spirit of a Sherlock Holmes riff, the women turn their everyday domestic knowledge into a surprisingly effective detective practice run out of their own corner of the complex.

At the center is Gong Mi-ri, a sharp-eyed resident with formidable powers of deduction who never misses the smallest detail, making her the Holmes figure of the group. Alongside her stand the older, blunt-spoken Chu Kyeong-ja and the younger Park So-hee, each contributing a different temperament and skill set as they listen to the stories of victims who have been ignored and track down evidence hiding in plain sight. Their salon becomes a refuge where slighted neighbors can finally be heard and troublemakers are exposed and punished.

Blending whodunit comedy with moments of genuine thriller tension, the show stacks a string of self-contained mystery cases toward a larger criminal conspiracy that surfaces as the season's climax. Beneath the playful banter, Salon de Holmes uses its genre-mixing to tackle real-world issues, from neglect and condescension toward middle-aged women to the casual cruelty that hides inside ordinary neighborhoods. The finale captivated Korean audiences and sparked immediate demand for more, and a second season was confirmed on July 16, 2025, with a 2026 release in planning.
