SKY Castle

SKY Castle is a 2018–2019 South Korean satirical drama set inside an exclusive gated residential community where the country's wealthiest doctors, professors, and lawyers raise their families. Behind the manicured hedges and luxury townhouses, the residents are consumed by a single shared obsession: securing their children's admission into the most prestigious universities, abbreviated in Korea as SKY (Seoul National, Korea, and Yonsei). The story ignites when the seemingly perfect life of one resident family unravels after a neighbor's son achieves a coveted medical-school placement and the family that helped him is shattered by tragedy. Into this pressure cooker steps a ruthless, almost mythic private admissions coordinator whose methods promise guaranteed results but exact a steep moral and psychological price. As mothers compete, scheme, and sacrifice their children's well-being for status, long-buried secrets, fraud, and even crime rise to the surface.
