About Warrior (Danish Series)
Warrior, known in Danish as Kriger, is a Danish crime drama created by Kim Fupz Aakeson that premiered in 2018. The series follows Kasper Kruse Christiansen, a former soldier returning home to Copenhagen after years of service abroad. Struggling to readjust to civilian life, he is drawn into the orbit of an outlaw biker gang whose members include people from his own past, and he soon finds himself caught between old loyalties and a new sense of duty.
When Kasper is approached by the police to inform on the gang from the inside, the story becomes a tense study of divided allegiances. A dedicated investigator builds the case from the outside while Kasper navigates the dangerous reality of life undercover, where a single misstep can expose him. The series balances procedural detail with the personal cost paid by everyone pulled into the operation, including family members who have no idea how deep the danger runs.
Across its eight episodes, Warrior explores themes of belonging, trauma, and the thin line between protector and outlaw. Rather than glamorizing gang life, the show treats it as a trap that closes slowly around its characters. The Copenhagen setting grounds the drama in a recognizable everyday world, and the series earned attention as part of the broader wave of Nordic crime storytelling that pairs taut plotting with character driven emotion.
