Character Arc
Maharaj Aviraaj Singh, affectionately called Fizzy, is the charming, idle heir at the heart of The Royals. Handsome and effortlessly likable, he has spent his life enjoying the perks of royalty without the responsibility, and the family's mounting financial trouble forces him to finally do something about it. His big idea, transforming the family palace into a luxury bed-and-breakfast, is equal parts genuine ambition and a way to preserve the only world he has ever known.
Aviraaj's arc is a coming-into-his-own story dressed up as a rom-com. Partnered with the relentless Sophia, he is pushed out of his comfort zone, made to confront how little he has actually accomplished, and challenged to lead a family that is used to drifting. His easy charm slowly gives way to real effort, and the prince who once expected things to be handed to him starts to fight for them.
His romance with Sophia is built on contrast: her discipline against his spontaneity, her skepticism against his optimism. As bickering turns to partnership and partnership to love, Aviraaj learns that being worthy of the title he inherited, and of Sophia, means becoming someone who shows up rather than someone who merely shines.
