Character Arc
Woo Chae-woon is a disciplined former special forces officer who is brought in as the new head of security for BF's CEO, Yun Ja-yu. Outwardly he is the model of a calm, capable protector, but he takes the position with a hidden agenda rooted in his own past and in unanswered questions about the company. From his first day, he is watching for far more than ordinary threats.
As Woo Chae-woon settles into his role, he must balance the genuine duty of guarding Yun Ja-yu against the private investigation he is secretly conducting. His professionalism repeatedly collides with his concealed motives, and the closer he gets to the truth, the more complicated his loyalties become. The wary, evolving dynamic between him and Yun Ja-yu sits at the heart of the series.
Over the season, Woo Chae-woon is forced to confront what he is willing to sacrifice for the answers he seeks, and whether the people he has been investigating are who he assumed them to be. Ju Ji-hoon plays him with a tightly controlled intensity, gradually revealing the grief and resolve beneath the soldier's discipline.
