Character Arc
Choi Seung-hyo is a composed and accomplished architect who has built a respected career and a carefully managed life. As the son of Bae Seok-ryu's mother's closest friend, he grew up right next door to her, and the two were inseparable childhood companions before time and distance pulled them apart. Outwardly cool and self-contained, he carries a guarded, perfectionist streak that the series gradually peels back.
Seok-ryu's sudden return cracks Seung-hyo's controlled routine. Their reunion reignites an easy, teasing rapport along with old frustrations, and being around her again draws out a warmer, more playful side he tends to hide from the wider world.
