Character Arc
Alex is the emotional center of Cracow Monsters, a sharp and resilient young woman shadowed by grief and a traumatic past she has never fully understood. When the enigmatic professor Zawadzki notices something unusual about her, she is pulled into his secretive circle of students, and her ordinary life gives way to a world where Slavic myth is unsettlingly real.
Over the course of the season Alex moves from wary outsider to active investigator, learning to trust the group while wrestling with visions and instincts she cannot easily explain. Her personal search for answers about her own origins runs in parallel with the supernatural cases the students take on, and the two mysteries gradually prove to be connected in ways she does not expect.
Alex's arc is fundamentally one of self-discovery: confronting loss, claiming agency over her own story, and deciding what to do with the knowledge that the world is far stranger and older than she was taught. Barbara Liberek anchors the role with a grounded intensity that keeps the folkloric horror tethered to a recognizably human struggle.
