Character Arc
Haru is a white dwarf rabbit and a fellow student at Cherryton Academy, where she tends the gardening club largely on her own. As one of the smallest students in a society dominated by larger animals, she has grown fiercely independent and refuses to be defined by the pity or condescension others direct at her. Her blunt honesty and self-reliance make her stand apart from those around her.
Her connection with Legoshi unsettles them both, since he is a predator and she is prey, yet she comes to see past his frightening exterior to the gentle creature underneath. Through their relationship Haru wrestles with vulnerability, trust and what it means to be cared for rather than protected out of guilt. The series treats her arc with maturity, emphasising her agency and inner strength.
As the story widens, Haru becomes entangled in the larger conflicts of the school and the world beyond it, including her ties to both Legoshi and the deer Louis. Her resilience and clear sense of self give the narrative an emotional anchor, and her choices help shape the paths of those around her.
