Character Arc
Juliette Fairmont is the gentle, anxious youngest daughter of the Fairmont family, an ancient line of vampires known as the Legacies. Unlike her confident siblings, Juliette is reluctant about her nature and dreads the prospect of making her first kill, the act that will fully awaken her as a vampire. Her arc begins with her quiet crush on a new classmate, Calliope Burns, which she hopes might also be the safe context for her first feeding, only for everything to spiral when real feelings take over.
As the season unfolds, Juliette is forced to reconcile the loving girl she wants to be with the predator her family expects her to become. She struggles with hunger, guilt and the discovery that Calliope comes from a family of monster hunters. Rather than letting that revelation end things, Juliette repeatedly chooses Calliope, even when it means defying her own bloodline and questioning the rules that have defined the Legacies for generations.
By the finale, Juliette has been pushed to darker places by loss and betrayal, and her innocence is tested in ways that hint at a more dangerous version of herself. Her journey is the emotional spine of the series, charting a sensitive teenager's transformation as she balances first love, family loyalty and the slow, frightening realization of what she is capable of.
