Character Arc
Kang Ji-yoon is the central female lead of Love Scout, a brilliant and relentlessly driven chief executive at the helm of a major headhunting firm. In the office she is sharp, decisive, and almost intimidatingly competent, with an instinct for matching talent to opportunity that makes her one of the best in the recruitment business. Her professional confidence, however, masks a complete inability to handle the small routines of ordinary life, a contrast that drives much of the show's humor.
Outside of work, Ji-yoon is famously helpless, struggling with cooking, housekeeping, and the kind of everyday self-care most people take for granted. This vulnerability becomes the bridge to her relationship with her new secretary, Yoo Eun-ho, whose quiet competence steadies both her workplace and her home. Over the course of the series she learns to lower her guard, accept help, and recognize that strength and dependence are not opposites.
As her bond with Eun-ho deepens, Ji-yoon's arc moves from a woman defined almost entirely by her career toward someone willing to make room for love, family, and a fuller personal life. Balancing her ambition with newfound emotional openness, she gradually steps into a romance that challenges the rigid boundaries she once kept between her public success and her private self.
