About Berlin
Berlin is a Spanish Netflix heist drama and a prequel spin-off of Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) that rewinds the clock to the golden years of its most charismatic thief. Set long before the Royal Mint of Spain robbery, it follows the suave, self-mythologizing Andres de Fonollosa, better known by his alias Berlin, as he assembles a brand-new crew in Paris for one of the most dazzling jobs of his life.
The target is a fortune in jewels, roughly 44 million euros, scattered across the French capital and set to converge for a single glittering night at an auction house. To pull it off, Berlin recruits a hand-picked team, including the brilliant, anxious electronics expert Keila and his trusted old friend and engineer Damian, alongside a tight ensemble of specialists. Every con is a performance, and Berlin treats the heist as a love letter to elegance, audacity, and the thrill of the impossible.
Stylish, fizzy, and unapologetically fun, the series leans into romance, glamour, and high-wire schemes rather than the gritty siege tension of the original. As alliances shift and Berlin tumbles into an affair that threatens the whole operation, the crew must improvise their way out of one tightening trap after another. It is a caper built on charm, chemistry, and the pleasure of watching beautiful people steal beautiful things.
