About Bullets (Luotot)
Bullets, known in Finnish as Luotot, is a Finnish espionage thriller built around two women on opposite sides of a counterterrorism investigation. Madina is a former fighter with a hidden past who has tried to build a quiet life in Helsinki, while Mari is an intelligence officer determined to track a suspected terror network operating across the Nordic region. When their paths cross, each woman recognizes something familiar in the other, and an uneasy bond forms even as their loyalties pull them apart.
The series moves between surveillance work, undercover operations, and the personal histories that shaped both leads, treating its spy plot as a study of trust, manipulation, and the cost of secrets. Helsinki and its surroundings are filmed with a cold, restrained palette typical of Nordic drama, and the threat at the center of the story is handled in a tense rather than sensational way. The cast is international, reflecting the cross-border nature of the investigation.
Produced for Finnish public broadcaster Yle as an English-language and multilingual co-production, Bullets aimed to reach audiences beyond Finland and drew attention for pairing well-known Finnish and international actors. It ran as a single ten-part season that tells a complete arc, blending procedural detail with a character-driven look at two women whose choices define the story.
