About Camdaki Kiz
Camdaki Kiz, known internationally as The Girl in the Glass, is a Turkish psychological family drama that aired on Kanal D from 2021 to 2023. Adapted from the work of psychiatrist and writer Gulseren Budayicioglu, the series follows Nalan Ipekoglu, a thoughtful young woman whose outward composure hides the weight of years spent meeting other people's expectations. As she steps further into adulthood, Nalan begins to examine the patterns she grew up with and to ask what a life shaped by her own choices might look like.
Set largely within the orbit of the close-knit Koroglu family, the story traces how love, loyalty, and quiet pressure can shape a person long before they recognize it. Nalan's path crosses with Sedat Koroglu and his relatives, and the household's warmth, ambitions, and unspoken rules become the backdrop against which she works to understand herself. The series treats these family dynamics with care, framing conflict as something to be understood rather than sensationalized.
Across three seasons, Camdaki Kiz follows Nalan's gradual journey toward self-discovery and healing. Anchored by Burcu Biricik's central performance, with Feyyaz Serifoglu and Selma Ergec in key roles, the drama became one of Kanal D's most-discussed titles, drawing viewers back each week with its empathetic portrait of family, resilience, and the slow work of building a life on one's own terms.
