About Lud, zbunjen, normalan
Lud, zbunjen, normalan is a Bosnian sitcom that premiered in 2007 and became one of the most popular comedy series ever produced in the region. Set almost entirely inside a single Sarajevo apartment, the show follows three generations of Fazlinovic men living under one roof: the cantankerous grandfather Izet, his more level-headed son Faruk, and Faruk's easygoing son Damir. The cramped shared living space becomes a stage for endless misunderstandings, generational friction, and warm comic chaos.
Much of the humor springs from the clash between Izet's old-world stubbornness and the younger men's attempts to keep peace and move forward with their own lives. Izet schemes, meddles, and complains; Faruk tries to hold the household together while juggling work and relationships; Damir drifts through romances and half-formed plans. Recurring neighbors, girlfriends, and assorted local characters cycle through the apartment, each visit setting off a fresh round of confusion that the title itself promises.
The series ran for well over a decade and aired across BHT 1 and Federalna televizija, earning a devoted following throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider former Yugoslav audience. Mustafa Nadarevic's performance as Izet anchored the show and turned the character into a regional comic icon; his death in 2020 effectively brought the long-running production to a close. Beloved for its everyday Sarajevo flavor and gentle, character-driven comedy, Lud, zbunjen, normalan remains a touchstone of Bosnian popular television.
