About The Librarians
The Librarians is a fantasy-adventure series that spins off from the Noah Wyle television films The Librarian. It follows a secret organization headquartered in a magical, extradimensional building known simply as the Library, which has quietly protected humanity from supernatural threats for thousands of years. When the Library comes under attack from a sinister cabal called the Serpent Brotherhood, a new team is recruited to safeguard the world's most dangerous magical artifacts.
Each member of the team is a brilliant specialist who once received a mysterious invitation to become a Librarian. Together with a no-nonsense military Guardian assigned to keep them alive, and under the gruff supervision of caretaker Jenkins, they travel the globe chasing myths, relics, and monsters. The cases range from cursed objects and ancient curses to fairy-tale logic bleeding into the real world, blending procedural monster-of-the-week storytelling with serialized mystery.
Created by John Rogers, who previously developed the heist drama Leverage, the show balances earnest adventure with a light, humorous tone. Across four seasons it builds an ongoing mythology around the Library, its history, and the personal growth of its unlikely heroes, while keeping each episode anchored in a self-contained magical mystery.
