Character Arc
Alec Sadler is introduced as a brilliant teenage technology prodigy living on a farm outside Vancouver in 2012, tinkering with code and inventions far ahead of his time. Kiera Cameron recognizes him as the younger version of the man who will one day become the most powerful corporate figure in her future, and she covertly enlists his help, using a hidden connection to support her in the present.
As Alec grows into his abilities, he becomes Kiera's secret lifeline, remotely operating her suit and uncovering the technologies that will shape the world to come. But the knowledge of his own destiny weighs heavily on him, and he is increasingly torn between the idealistic young man he is and the powerful, morally compromised figure he is fated to become.
Over the course of the series Alec's journey becomes one of the show's most pivotal arcs, as choices about love, loss, and power push him toward decisions that ripple across the timeline. His relationship with Kiera, and the burden of knowing what he might one day build, transform him from an eager teenager into a central architect of the series' battle over the future itself.
