Character Arc
Bong Ye-bun is the heart of Behind Your Touch, a kindhearted and somewhat clumsy veterinarian who runs a modest animal clinic in the rural town of Mujin. Initially content with her quiet life, she is thrown into chaos when she suddenly develops psychometric abilities that let her glimpse a person's or animal's memories whenever she touches a specific spot. The power is as embarrassing as it is useful, given how it must be triggered, and much of her early arc is built around the comedy and awkwardness of learning to live with it.
As her visions begin solving petty crimes around town, Ye-bun is drawn into an uneasy alliance with detective Moon Jang-yeol. Over the course of the season she grows from a reluctant, easily flustered amateur into a more confident and resourceful investigator, using her gift to help her neighbors while wrestling with the ethics and emotional toll of seeing into other people's private memories.
Her arc culminates as the lighthearted cases give way to a genuinely dangerous serial killer investigation, forcing Ye-bun to confront real peril and to trust both her abilities and her growing bond with Jang-yeol. Through it all she remains grounded by her warmth, loyalty to her community, and the comic resilience that defines the character.
