Character Arc
Kim Moon-ho is a famous broadcast journalist whose polished public image hides a man weighed down by guilt and unanswered questions. The younger half-brother of a powerful news company executive, he occupies a privileged perch in the media world, yet he is quietly consumed by a tragedy from his youth involving a group of idealistic friends. That old wound drives a private investigation he conducts at great personal risk.
Moon-ho's central obsession is finding Oh Ji-an, a child presumed dead whom he suspects is still alive, a search that gradually entwines his fate with those of Jung-hu and Young-shin. As he peels back layers of a long-buried conspiracy, he must navigate the dangerous interests of the very institutions that made him famous, weighing his career and safety against his conscience.
Over the course of the series, Moon-ho transforms from a cautious insider into a determined truth-teller willing to expose the powerful. His arc bridges the older generation's secrets and the younger leads' present-day struggle, and his choices ultimately help bring a decades-old cover-up into the light.
