Loid Forger is the public face of Twilight, Westalis's most accomplished secret agent, a man so committed to peace that he has erased nearly every trace of his own past. Posing as a mild-mannered psychiatrist, he adopts Anya and marries Yor purely to satisfy the requirements of Operation Strix, treating the entire arrangement as just another cover to be maintained with flawless precision.
Across the series, the cracks in that professional detachment become the heart of the story. Loid plans every interaction like a mission briefing, yet he keeps making choices a real father would make, defending Anya at school, worrying over Yor, and quietly enjoying the ordinary family life he tells himself is fake. His training insists the family is disposable, but his actions say otherwise.
By the end of Season 2, Loid is a man at war with his own heart, still convinced his feelings are a liability while behaving more and more like a devoted husband and dad. That tension, the perfect spy slowly thawed by domestic life, makes him one of the most quietly moving leads in recent anime, brought to life by Takuya Eguchi.
