Character Arc
David is the other half of the couple at the heart of Threesome, an easygoing young Swede in London who works in telemarketing and has long assumed that he and Siri are settled for life. Where Siri is propelled by ambition, David is defined by a kind of contented drift, and the threesome that upends their relationship hits him as both a thrill and a threat to the only future he had imagined. Simon Loof gives him a sweetness that makes his confusion sympathetic rather than pathetic.
Through the first season, David struggles to keep pace with the questions the encounter has unleashed, oscillating between jealousy, openness and a fear of being left behind by a partner who suddenly seems to want more from life. His attempts to prove himself adaptable often misfire comically, even as they reveal a genuine desire to hold the relationship together on terms he does not fully understand.
The second season deepens David's reckoning with his own passivity, pushing him to decide what he actually wants instead of simply reacting to Siri and Camille. His journey becomes a quiet counterweight to Siri's, charting how a person who has avoided big choices learns, often painfully, that refusing to choose is itself a choice with consequences.
