Classroom of the Elite is set at the Advanced Nurturing High School, a prestigious government-backed academy that promises its students freedom and a near-guaranteed path to university or employment. Behind the glossy facade lies a brutal meritocracy where every action earns or drains points, classes are ranked from A to D, and students are pitted against one another in constant psychological competition. New arrivals quickly learn that the institution rewards results above all else, and that fairness is an illusion designed to expose who will truly fight to rise.
The story follows Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, a quiet and unremarkable boy who is sorted into the lowest-ranked Class D. He appears content to coast through life with average grades and few connections, but his calm exterior hides a razor-sharp intellect and an unsettling capacity for manipulation. As his classmates struggle to climb the academy ladder, Kiyotaka subtly steers events from the shadows, helping his class survive crises while concealing the full extent of his abilities from nearly everyone around him.
Across three seasons the series builds a tense web of alliances, betrayals, and special exams that test the students intellectually and emotionally.
