About Dark Angel
In a near-future Seattle reeling from an electromagnetic pulse that crippled the United States, society has fractured into a fragile patchwork of black markets, corrupt sector police, and gated wealth. Against this gritty backdrop lives Max, a young woman who looks like an ordinary bike messenger but is anything but. She is a genetically engineered super-soldier, the product of a covert military project called Manticore that bred enhanced children to be the perfect weapons.
Max escaped that frozen Wyoming facility as a child alongside a handful of her siblings, scattering into the world to hide in plain sight. Years later she scrapes by in the Pulse-ravaged city while quietly searching for the other escaped transgenics, all the while dodging the shadowy operatives determined to drag them back. Her world tilts when she crosses paths with Logan Cale, a wealthy idealist turned underground cyber-journalist who broadcasts the truth about the regime under the alias Eyes Only.
Together they form an uneasy, electric partnership: she lends him her speed, strength, and reflexes for his crusade, and he helps her unravel the secrets of her own creation. Their bond deepens even as Manticore tightens its grip and new transgenics, including the charming and dangerous Alec, complicate everything. The series stars Jessica Alba as Max, Michael Weatherly as Logan, and Jensen Ackles as Alec.
