About El Prince
El Prince (also released as The Prince, from the Arabic Al Prince) is an Egyptian drama series that premiered during the Ramadan 2020 television season. Written and directed by Mohamed Samy and produced by Synergy, the thirty-episode musalsal follows Radwan El Prince, who, after the death of his parents, becomes the eldest figure responsible for holding a large family together. The series is built around the El Prince household and the rivalries, debts, and loyalties that surface once Radwan steps into the role of head of the family.
Mohamed Ramadan stars as Radwan, a man who tries to guide his younger siblings and relatives while protecting the family name in a tightly knit neighborhood community. The drama tracks the pressures that come with that responsibility, including business disputes, family secrets, and the strain placed on personal relationships. Ahmed Zaher plays Fathy, a central rival figure whose conflict with Radwan drives much of the season's escalating tension, while Nour appears as Ola within the family circle.
Like many Ramadan-season serials, El Prince leans into high-stakes melodrama, emotional family confrontations, and a large ensemble cast. It belongs to a wave of socially framed dramas that pair a charismatic lead with neighborhood-scale storytelling about honor, money, and kinship. The show was widely watched across Egypt and the broader Arabic-speaking audience during its Ramadan run and later became available on streaming.
