About En Place

En Place (internationally titled Represent) is a French Netflix comedy series co-created by Jean-Pascal Zadi and Francois Uzan. Zadi stars as Stephane Ble, an idealistic youth worker from a Paris banlieue who, after a viral public clash with a smooth establishment politician, finds himself improbably launched into a campaign for President of France. What begins as an accident becomes a genuine bid as Stephane decides to actually represent the people the political class keeps forgetting.

Guided by burned-out campaign operative William Crozon, played by Eric Judor, Stephane has to learn the brutal machinery of a presidential run: donors, spin, debates, scandals, and endless compromise. The show mines warm, sharp satire from the collision between his grassroots sincerity and the cynicism of professional politics, while his partner Marion Ble, played by Fadily Camara, keeps him honest and grounded back home.

Across six episodes the series skewers the French political establishment, media circus, and the tokenization of outsider candidates, all while staying affectionate toward its hero and his community. The first season builds to election day as Stephane wrestles with whether you can climb the system without becoming part of it.
