My Love from the Star follows Do Min-joon, an alien who landed on Earth four centuries ago during the Joseon period and has lived among humans ever since, hiding his enhanced abilities and his ageless body. Composed, scholarly, and weary of human attachment, he counts down the final months before he can finally return to his home planet. His carefully ordered solitude is upended when a brash, world-famous actress moves into the apartment next door and refuses to be ignored.
That actress is Cheon Song-yi, the biggest celebrity in the country and a woman whose glamorous public image conceals loneliness and insecurity. As her path keeps crossing Min-joon's, the two are pulled into a relationship that neither expected and that the laws of his world seem to forbid. Their slow-burning romance is complicated by Song-yi's scandals, a long-standing rival, and a charming chaebol heir who has loved her for years.
Beneath the rom-com sparkle runs a darker thread.
