About Study Group
Study Group is a 2025 South Korean action-comedy that follows Yoon Ga-min, a good-hearted teenager at a rough vocational high school who is hopeless at studying but a complete natural in a fight. More than anything, Ga-min wants to do something that comes easy to almost no one around him: form an actual study group and learn alongside friends. The trouble is that the halls of his school are run by delinquents, and every time he tries to crack open a textbook, somebody needs protecting.
Caught between his earnest dream of self-improvement and the chaos swirling around campus, Ga-min keeps getting pulled into one scrape after another as he stands up for classmates who cannot stand up for themselves. Adapted from the popular webtoon of the same name, the series leans into underdog heart and warm, goofy humor as much as its energetic showdowns, building a found-family of misfits who decide that studying together and looking out for one another are two sides of the same goal.
Released on Disney+ in 2025, the drama balances broad comedy, sincere coming-of-age beats, and crowd-pleasing action staged with a light, almost cartoonish bounce that mirrors its webtoon roots. At its center is a simple, likable idea: that even the toughest kid in the worst school can chase an ordinary dream, and that the people who join him along the way matter more than any win or loss.
