About Tales of Wedding Rings
Tales of Wedding Rings follows Satou, an ordinary high-school boy whose only constant since childhood has been his neighbor and best friend Hime, a mysterious girl who appeared at his family shrine years ago. The two are inseparable, and Satou has long harbored unspoken feelings for her, but he assumes their quiet life together will simply continue. That assumption shatters on the eve of a festival when Hime reveals she is a princess from another world and must return home to fulfill her duty as a priestess.
Unwilling to lose her, Satou follows Hime through a portal and impulsively places a ceremonial ring on his finger, only to discover the ring binds him as the legendary Ring King, the realm's destined protector. To unlock the magic needed to defeat the encroaching darkness threatening this fantasy world, the Ring King must marry the priestesses of the land's ruling tribes, drawing power through the bond of each union. What began as a confession of love becomes a sprawling quest with far higher stakes than Satou ever imagined.
