About Travessia
Travessia is a Brazilian prime-time telenovela produced and broadcast by TV Globo from October 2022 to May 2023. Written by celebrated author Gloria Perez, it was the network's 9 PM novela, following Pantanal and preceding Terra e Paixao. At its heart is Brisa, a young woman from the rural community of Mandacaru in Maranhao, whose ordinary life is upended when she becomes the victim of a manipulated video that spreads across the internet and turns public opinion against her overnight.
Wrongly accused and publicly shamed by a piece of fabricated digital media, Brisa is forced to leave her home, search for the truth, and slowly rebuild a life that has been taken from her.
