Wandee Goodday is a 2024 Thai romantic comedy from GMMTV, adapted from a popular novel and built around one of the most charming odd-couple premises of the year: a buttoned-up orthopedic doctor and a brash, crowd-pleasing muay thai fighter who could not be more different, drawn together by an arrangement neither of them expected to take seriously. What begins as a way to save face after a heartbreak slowly, and very sweetly, turns into the real thing.
Dr. Wandee Laowatthana is precise, well-mannered, and quietly nursing a broken heart when a tipsy, impulsive night throws him together with Yoryak Phadetseuk, a confident young boxer with a soft center under all the swagger. To smooth over the awkwardness, the two strike up a no-strings pretend-partner pact, complete with rules they are both sure they can keep. Of course, the rules are the first thing to go. Between hospital shifts, training camps, meddling friends, and a circle of family who see right through them, the pair keep colliding in ways that are funnier and more tender than either bargained for.
Across twelve breezy episodes, the series leans into warm humor, banter, and a genuine slow-burn glow, letting two guarded people figure out that letting someone in is scarier and more rewarding than any match in the ring.
